SED_Auto-Poster ("the Application") is an internal publishing and automation tool used by Strange Earth Dispatch to manage and publish content to its YouTube channel. This Privacy Policy explains how the Application handles user data, including data accessed through Google OAuth authentication.
Google Account Access and OAuth
SED_Auto-Poster uses OAuth 2.0 to authenticate users and request access to their Google and YouTube accounts. The Application may access and use Google account data, including YouTube channel information and video publishing capabilities, solely for the purpose of authorized channel-management and content-publishing functions.
Scope of Access: Access to Google account data is limited strictly to the permissions granted by the account owner at the time of OAuth authentication. Users maintain full control over which permissions are granted and may revoke access at any time through their Google Account settings.
Data Usage
Google account data accessed through the Application is used exclusively for:
- Authenticating authorized users
- Publishing and managing video content on the authorized YouTube channel
- Retrieving channel metadata and video statistics necessary for publishing operations
- Automating content publishing workflows as permitted by the granted OAuth scopes
Data Storage and Security
The Application implements industry-standard security measures to protect Google account data. OAuth access tokens are stored securely and used only for authorized API operations. Access tokens are never shared with unauthorized third parties and are managed according to security best practices.
The Application does not store copies of personal Google account information beyond what is necessary to maintain authenticated sessions and perform authorized publishing operations.
Data Sharing
Google account data and YouTube channel information accessed through SED_Auto-Poster are not shared with external third parties. This data is used exclusively within the Application to facilitate authorized channel management and content publishing by Strange Earth Dispatch.
The Application may access video content metadata and analytics to support publishing workflows, but this data is not transferred to or stored on external servers beyond what is necessary for API operations with Google's services.
User Rights and Control
Users maintain complete control over the data shared with SED_Auto-Poster:
- Users can view and modify OAuth permissions granted to the Application at any time through their Google Account settings
- Users may revoke access to their Google account at any time, which will immediately prevent the Application from accessing their account data
- Users are not required to grant access to any specific data beyond basic authentication
